StormG International

Risk Consultancy

Our principle risk consultancy service is aimed at increasing client and operational safety through risk management.

The management of risk must be aimed at adding value to the client’s activities, protecting the client’s personnel, assets and reputation thereby promoting the success of their operations. In particular, we are experts in explosive risk; such risks carry high associated impacts but with a very low probability of incident when managed appropriately.

Traditionally implemented risk management of explosive hazards and obstacles can be very costly and time consuming. The innovative approach of STORM-G uses their professional, global expertise to manage risk and maximise safety yet minimise the cost and time implications for our clients.

STORM-G provides consultancy services in the following areas:

Initial risk assessment to advise clients on the initial and expected risks through desktop analysis. This process aims to identify potential risk prior to the deployment of costly and high value assets to the location, saving time and money for our clients.

Location specific, on-site risk assessments either independently or with a client team. STORM-G will place a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the ground to ensure that all information is accurate and relevant.The on site visit will seek to determine the extent and limitation of the risks utilising the initial desktop data where available.

Development of risk mitigation strategies and activities aim to be as cost effective as possible, following the desktop or on-site assessments. The development of risk mitigation strategies and activities will be achieved in close co-ordination with the client to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and standards, operational priorities and the client’s own risk appetite.

On site safety and quality control. STORM-G can provide EOD expertise to support clients manage risk on location, including:

  • provide an in situ survey capacity to visit hazardous areas;
  • respond to any finds and advise or dispose of hazards;
  • liaison with local and national coordination bodies for Explosive Ordnance clearance activities;
  • manage or oversee sub-contracted clearance agencies, this is particularly important when utilising local national capacities;
  • Advise on contracting requirements from local suppliers.
